How to Deduce if perosn is lying ( part 2 )

In my previous post i have given some basic idea about how can we develop the suspicion about  a person who is lying to us. YOU Don't know the basic? than just check it out on the following link

Before we move ahead and study the other gestures of lying, why not take a test- to tell a deliberate lie to someone face-to-face and at the same time be conscious about the gestures which you'll make. This is the best way to experience the lying gesture for your self ( of-course i don't wont you to tell a malicious lie!!!)
I am listing few of the observation which you can do when you are deliberately lying, flushed cheeks, eye-blink rate increases, increase in number of gulps of saliva, fake smile.
In the series of post you'll be learning the 8 common lying gesture which i have learned from Allan Barbara Pease book (Body language).

1. The Mouth Cover....
From the previous post we have learned that this gesture come's form the 2nd wise monkey which symbolizes say no EVIL. Sometimes this gesture might only be several fingers over the mouth or even a closed fist but it's meaning remains the same.

This is how the gesture would look like now there are two deduction that can be made from this gesture the one is that he might be lying and the second is he might be hiding something or might have a second opinion on the idea which he is hearing. Some people try to disguise the mouth cover gesture by giving a fake cough. If the person who is speaking uses this gesture, it indicates that they could be lying. if they cover their mouth whicle you are speaking, it can show they might feel you are hiding something.
let us learn how did this gesture was learned by us!!

This gesture was first learned by us when we were children. when we used to make noise while playing with friends our parent's used to produce a gesture which was used to tell us " Don't make any Noise and be quite" .
Slowly we also started producing this gesture when ever we lied to our parents or friends but during that small age our gesture for hiding the lie or holding some other ideas was very obvious. And as soon as we lied we used to cover our entire mouth as follows

But as we grew older this gesture was consciously disguised by us by just trying to cover our mouth with 2 or 3 fingers and ending up in giving just a simple touch to the lips

Hope that you would have enjoyed and learned something in the direction to think like Sherlock Holmes by understanding and observing the science behind the lying.
